Hollowbody basses tend to be very light.

All the Lakland Skylines I've tried are nice, light and well balanced. Nice basses too.

BassLab, including the Soul model if you like traditional styling, are very light.

This topic comes up oftem, and people are sure to mention

    Elrick
    Matt Pulcinella Gutars (MPG)

Though they don't always make the list, I've always found Pedulla Raptures nice and light.

MTD Heirs and Kingstons are light also.

Yep. Got one. I've lost some pounds and some cushion. My Modulus is about two pounds heavier than it should be since it has a 2Tek bridge. The sound is wonderful and the sustain is forever, but I decided on Sunday I needed to lighten my load, if I can find a nice light bass.

Don't forget the Fender Zone and Dimension basses. They are about 7lbs.

Not as light as some others, but my Dinger comes in right at 8lbs.

My R bass is 8 lbs.

Elricks usually are the lightest and best sounding combo for my taste. For some reason, they seem to deliver that formula consistently.

Ron Blake made my teacher's Claw basses, they're both about 5 pounds.

  15. Clocks in at 7 3/4 lbs.

Or, any of the varied headless basses out there.
