hey. I was thinking of getting a workingman's combo, 12 incher. don't have much to spend..... i'd say 400 at max. i found a scracthed brand new one. for 400, what do you think? what's a great amp for around that price?
  2. if by any chance you live in northern virginia, i have a workingman's 15 that i'll sell you for 400.

They typically sell for around $350-450 used (and that's without a warranty). If you can live with the scratch (and the warranty is still good) I'd say go for it! I sold a mint one last year for $350 and when it arrived in Fla UPS had apparently drop it and damaged the speaker! UPS made good on the replacement speaker but it was a real inconvienence to me and the purchaser!

FWIW BP gave it top tone award in combo shootout. $400 is about right Search eBay closed items. I would also consider Ashdown in that price range.
