I know this is a stupid question but I gotta ask. I just got promoted and am looking to get some dress shoes. They need to be comfortable, but look nice . Something like bussiness casual. Any suggestions? Don't know whats in style as I have not had to dress up in a long time. Help me out guys. links would be appreciated.
This is a great suggestion. Another option is a pair of Timberlands. Mine have lasted a while and are very comfortable. Mike
These are the coolest, for work or gigging. Very high quality product for what I think is a very reasonable price, considering what you get. http://www.stacyadams.com/category.asp?category=13 This one has better views, and some wild clothes too. http://www.zootsuitstore.com/Shopping/Catalog/multi_category.asp?s=sa&cat=Shoes%2Dsa
I'll third Bass. You don't need to go to an outlet, just check out dept. stores in your mall and check around. You'll probably be able to find some on clearance (that's the only way I buy clothes).
im not too sure if you can go wrong with sperry topsiders.....that and DocMartins are the only things i consider buisness casual, if i need to get really dressy then some kenneth coles or Via Spigas (not sure if i spelled that right)
I also like Rockports. Check out some Florsheims as well. Bostonians can't be beat for all day comfort. Pretty much anything in the dress shoe section at Nordstrom.... -Mike
I usually really like shopping for nice dress clothes. I work a job where I have to dress pretty nicely every day. So the other day, I was picking out some new dress shoes, that I thought were pretty swank. Found the style and color I needed, and I just needed someone to go get me my size. Apparently, 20-somethings in jeans and a t-shirt don't get service at uppity mens clothing stores. I spent 10 minutes trying to get someone's attention. I even asked the cashier to get me someone. No response. I walked out. The jerks.
Cole Haan makes the most comfortable, best fitting dress AND Casual shoes I've ever tried. I don't even bother trying anything else anymore! The last, look good, and work. Avoid Kenneth Cole like the plague unless your training for possible incarceration at a "secret" interrogation camp cause they TORTURE your feet! www.colehaan.com
I wear these and I can wear them with a suit or with kahki's. They are very comfortable. Mine don't quite look that shiny now. I have worn these just about every day for the last two years, and they are still going strong. I bought a replacement pair of footbeds for them about 6 months ago. I am also going to have the heels re-built soon. They are nicely made shoes.
