My Grandma is trying to hook me up with a new bass. Unfortunatly, she has some idea, but does not fully realize I play bass (everything from a guitar to a bass is "guitar" to her), so she tells me that a guy is selling a Gibson BlueHawk. Now, I know there's a Gibson BluesHawk that is a guitar, but, My grandma says it's (BlueHawk) a bass. I don't have the guys number so I can't ask him. Is this a bass? And if possible, is there a BluesHawk that's a bass, or, am I just getting led on by a grandma who means well?

I've never heard of a Gibson BlueHawk. Prehaps she meant Thunderbird.

the blueshawk is a guitar, and a sweet one at that. i'd take it if i were you :)
you can check it out at http://www.gibson.com
for the most part, the only basses gibson makes are EBs (SG style), the Thunderbird, and the Les Paul

  4. The BluesHawk is a semi-hollow guitar that has a shorter body than a regular Les Paul. I've heard they're real nice guitars too...
