Need some help on a Modulus VJ4

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by sleepy_monkey, Mar 11, 2009.

  1. Do these use the same size control plate as a Fender Jazz, etc? They look similar....but I don't have the body in my possession yet...but I wanted to go ahead and get the control plate if possible.

Also, anyone know where to pick up a used Modulus Neck for a VJ4?

    Thanks for the help!! :bassist:

I have a Modulus Genesis Jazz...same control plate as a Fender Jazz. The input is on the body as all four holes are used for the active Bartolini electronics. A company called Moses makes graphite necks. Try Ebay I've seen a few graphite necks on there. Hope this helps.

The Moses necks I've seen are very crude & rough compared to the Modulus bolt on neck on my Jazz. Mine is an old BassStar neck & I don't know if Modulus still makes replacement necks. Mine is like butter though.
  4. Awesome, thanks Mr. Ray...I think the VJ4 will be the same control plate too

Moe, Modulus indeed makes replacement necks....but there is a 3-6 , month waiting list!!!
