    hey all

im building a 5'er and ive chosen to go with an ovangkal/shedua body and i am kinda lost on what i should use for the neck. i really like the warwick sound but am looking for something to use for the neck to lighten up the bass a bit. i may be totally off here but your help would be appreciated.

Northern ash supposedly sounds similar to wenge, which would help you get that warwick tone, yet it's a lot lighter than wenge. Dunno if its color is what you're looking for though.

Great neck wood, looks nice with the body.
