I have a Peavey Millenium AC BPX 5 string w/ active pickups. After about 10-20 minutes of play, it looses a lot of power and finally cuts out and starts making a really loud clicking noise through the amp. I bought new (name brand) 9v batteries, and after about an hour of play, it happened again. I've tried different amps and I leave it unplugged when it's not in use. This bass is practically new. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

I not good at electronics, but is the battery dead or low when it starts acting up? You might have a short.:meh:

You said it was practically new - I would return it :eyebrow:

Sounds like a short, possibly a problem with battery switching on the jack.

Take it back from whence you bought it and have them figure it out.
