right now I have a crappy Jay Turser P-bass. I need something better, I was thinking about getting a Fender or a Warwick, but I'm not sure. I'm into playing classic rock/jazz/prog if you're wondering

I have an SWR 100 watt comboa right now

I'm thinking of getting one for my birthday, not an expensive one though. Something relatively around 400 - 600$

i like jazz basses for your criteria + price range. but i dunno, go to a music store and try for yourself. try to play through the same amp you play through, and just find one that calls out to you "TAKE ME HOME!".

  5. warwick won't fit into classic rock as well as a Fender.

    Go Fender....Go P-bass deluxe....
