    One more thing...

Anyone care to speculate what the big news might be...? I guess We'll find out soon. Being the total nerd i am, I can't help but wonder what it is.

Theres been speculation of new iPods featuring video playback. But they just unveiled the iPod Nano so I'd be surprised if its another iPod. I'm thinking (hoping) its a new machine. Maybe a G5 powerbook, or Dual processor iMac. Or something totally crazy we've never even seen before...any thoughts?

They're supposed to be switching over to Intel processors pretty soon. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to release a new Motorola-based computer now, although they've done that sort of thing before -- I think we're in one of those phases where it doesn't make any sense to buy a Mac since the Next Big Thing is on the horizon.

I've heard the same thing from a friend who works at a Mac store.

Personally, I'm hoping for G5 powerbooks.

Me too, but somehow I think it'll be awhile before we see that. that's whole lot of machine to get into such a small package.

    Maybe its a robot. :eyebrow:

  5. maybe they are announcing Apple's merge with Microsoft...and its about time... :D

  6. Yay, lets copy Honda and build a robot.

I think a G5 powerbook would be pretty sweet, even though I do not use Apples.

  7. Now my 1 million shares of Apposoft will be useful. Youll be seeing me in my 24K gold Bently next week. ;)

    But that's boring.

  15. A Mac with Linux pre-installed on it???

(nah... you can install Linux on a Mac, but Apple wouldn't sell it like that.)

iMac G5. Whee. Guess they're that much closer to a G5 powerbook. It's getting smaller.

Color iPod w/photos and video. :meh: A new product for sure, but not exactly unexpected. :meh:

  19. What are they going to call the new Mac with Intel chip?

I vote calling it an "Orange".

Which is better? Hard to say, you're comparing apples and oranges, get it?? :D
