Seriously, never gigged. I'm a Fender guy, and I can't help it.

This one has the pickups replaced with DiMarzio UltraJazz pickups (a vast improvement). Other specs are:

    4 String
    Flame Maple/Basswood
    34 & 1.5
    Neck Thru Maple/Rosewood
    ABA B2
    Grovers Black
    Dean/Active
2 custom Dean pickups with 3 band EQ
Piezo pickups under each string with seperate volume and EQ

Complete with hardshell case. You can buy this new for 799 and spend another 100 on the pickups, or you can buy this for $700+shipping.

    Trades considered.

    Nice bass! PM Sent.

What kind of tones can you get? Is the action low, and buzzless?

    :hyper:

Very low action!! Fairly versatile - the piezos really (really!) make it sing! Listen to anything brian has done, you'll get the idea...

Is that 1.5 spacing like a Fender near the pick ups? I forget my digits... Can you get a decent scoopy slap tone on this puppy?
I would assume you can get a decent range of barky Jaco tones right?

I just had to comment on how nice that bass looks. I don't usually like Warwick bodies (although I'm fairly new at bass), but I love the colour!

Thanks, but it's not a Warwick....

Yeah, it looks more like a Peavey / Carvin hybrid.. Or just like a Dean B2

Hahaha. Oh man, I musta been out of it when I posted that. Well it looked like a Warwick to me, sort of.

Sorry about that. Still a nice bass.

These are seriously nice basses, and I play a 5-string version as my main bass. If I didn't have some pressing financial needs coming up, I'd get it. But Pacman knows that already! Serious bump for a seriously nice bass.

  11. I have several Dean basses, including one of these. This one is my favourite. I have small hands and this is easy to play, and I find it hangs comfortably. Also, the specs are a bit misleading due to Dean not updating their site. These are rosewood/basswood. The alder/ash/maple was for the unreleased USA model that appears to have been canned. Either way, this is great value for a neck through in a case. If mine was stolen by aliens tonight, I'd be snatching up this without a second thought.

I can't believe nobody has snagged this yet! This is THE bass if you want a big "in-yo-face" sound! Plus upgrades? You can't get it for less, people! As an added bonus, Pacman is a great guy, and I'm sure you'll have no problems dealing with him.

Thats because its a replica of Bromberg's bass, as was the
b-quad. Peavey couldn't make the bass anymore after he
    left them.
