Never Knew HE Plays Bass!

He played upright on a jazz gig in one episode.

 

He is a good player ... better actor ...

One of my favorite actors.. I had no idea.

 

His USO band is called The Lt. Dan Band. . I saw them play at a CSI holiday party a few years ago

 

I think this thread should be linked to that "Is there a bass player look?" thread a while back ...because wow, just wow he looks awesome with those basses on the site.

He (and his band) were always the coolest thing to read about while stuck in line doing pre-deployment stuff with only military publications to read. His interviews are riveting and the appearance of him and his group are top notch. I would love to see him play.

 

Thats a lovely bass he has...cool to see a famous actor being proud of his musical abilities....awesome guy.

 

I noticed Lt. Dan plays a Line 6. I don't know much about their basses/guitars. Has anybody here played/likes them? Opinions please.

 

Lol. Yeah, Gary Sinise plays bass phenomenally well. Just like Hugh Laurie is an amazing musician period.

When I was in London last year I saw a really cool TV show documenting Hugh Laurie traveling to New Orleans to play blues and jazz with local musicians.

 

Agreed. I had the pleasure of meeting (and hearing) Mr Sinise and his band about 3 years ago and was impressed.

Fairly good bass player and a outstanding human being!! The man is a real patriot.
