If you don't need a wire, and your bodypack should be, well, on your body, why do they give you a six foot cable with the kit?!

I just spent a half hour chopping it in half, fitting a new jack, and getting it JUST the right length so it actually seems like I'm wireless.

Hmm. The Shure cables are only 3 feet long, if that.

Still, it's a bit overkill there too.

It's for the Blink 182 wannabes that have their basses and guitars at their ankles.

Yeah, I just cut mine to 14" to go down my strap, straight into the jack. Can't even tell I've got it.

So you're saying latinos are sneaky? Huh?! There's no room for racism at TB, Hole.

It's a reference to John Tuturo's butler role in Adam Sandler's Mr. Deeds (I think).

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

    Carry on.

Heh. Another thing I love about my XWire. Standard 1/4" jack plugs into the bass, standard 1/4" jack plugs into the transmitter.

I use the Samson Airline Bass - no extra wires - no bodypack! Works well for me!!

  13. Atleast someone caught that.

Go back to telling Mike Money how much of a punk he isn't.

Well, after a quick mod mine is more than good enough. The cable locks into the transmitter and doesn't come out.

I prefer a bodypack, seems more secure to me, but it's almost entirely unwarranted. Just feels right.

I believe that the wire acts like an antena. I'm not 100% sure though.

It does. I figure I lost about 50% of my roaming distance, but I don't anticipate being more than 100 feet from my gear while playing any time soon. If I am, I'll use the crazy long whacko cable.
