After waiting 7 years and 9 months, my local luthier has finally given me a firm date in December to pick this beauty up. Body of exotic woods, thru neck, ebony board, barts and a two band pre - I ca'nt wait. The board is only 6.25 inches wide at the neck.

I'm hoping the delivery date will be just after the bandages come off my left hand - I'm recovering from a world-first operation in cosmetic surgery involving finger extentions that will enable me to cover all the notes on my new bass including the playing of minor 13th 9 note chords.

    Uhh...

  4. LMAO!

  5. HAHAHA

  6. You've tried sanding them off. You've tried slamming them off. And mitts only hide the problem. There's no way around it - you've got extra fingers.

  7. Most basses have all the board on the neck.
    Where on the neck? ;)

  8. So are you just joking about the operation, or getting an 11-string as well?

what makes 1 wait 7 years for a guitar of any sort?

  10. And I quote (from the 7-string Sei thread):

"What the F..k are you gonna do with 7 strings that I can't do with 4/5???????????????????????????"

Methinks he doesn't quite grasp the ERB concept ;)

And for someone who's been around here since 2002, he doesn't seem to grasp the TB history behind his comments. :rollno:

No, he obviously didn't get anything of the sort.

    He's the unfrozen caveman bassist.

Ladies and gentlemen, he's just a simple caveman- our world frightens and confuses him. He doesn't understand things like extended range basses, timbres, and chords. The last concert he went to involved watching other cavemen bang rocks together for three hours.
But there is one thing he does know- bass guitars are meant to have four strings. Thank you.

  17. I thought this was done with? Aren't we over bashing people who play a bass with more than 4 strings? Get over it already...

  18. Yeah guys! Really!!! I mean, he has been waiting for over 7 years for it now! Give him a break.

    ;)

  19. So I just got a 72 string bass and got world first cosmetic surgury that allows me to play chords with 16 notes, thats right, they have me two extra arms+hands. I had the arms custom built. and I only waited 3 years. and my 72 stringer doubles as a surf board and makes a great makeshift table.

  20. Subtle. :p
