Hey all, I just thought I would share my most recent acquisition... I traded my Modulus for this Vigier Excess Indus 4 string.

    From the Vigier site: http://www.vigierguitars.com/page/fiche_produit.php?id_prod=218

    Here are some pics:

    Vigier1.

    Vigier3.

    Vigier2.

    Vigier4.

The body is alder with a very cool textured matte black finish. The pickups are Vigier single coils with the Vigier 2 band pre. There is no passive option. You can't really tell from my pics but the center material in the neck is graphite and the rest of the neck is a beautiful flamed maple. The board is rosewood and the neck is very comfortable.

The bass weighs in at just over 8 lbs and is a joy to play.

Cool...I think Jonas Hellborg was playing those for a while (I believe he was playing an Exxess when I saw him in NC in 'round 1998-1999).

As I recall it sounded great, very grindy and punchy.

Thanks all. These basses seem hard to come by and I am glad that I found this one. I seem to see the Arpege model more on the used market than this model.

    It's a great lightweight 4 string.

The bass will make it's debut tonight at rehearsal - I can't wait to hear it with the band.
