Note to self - stay away from Heathrow!

    Slightly worrying though.

This part: 'But Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told a Senate subcommittee last month that he wants to employ the technology and doesn't want an "endless debate" over privacy issues.'

Just brush the privacy issues aside then? ;)

surely though - people will find, um, er, different 'places' to hide things? not visible from the outside? If you get my drift.......

Someone tell USA Today that they're a year or more late on this story.

    It's alright. It's a party and everyone's invited.

For each good one to look at, how many bad ones would there be? Would it be worth it?

Anyway, if the X-rays bounce off of skin, it might bounce off leather too. I guess the machine probably does/will make security easier.

Sweet! I knew buying the leather thong would pay off in the long run.

For a 16-18 year old kid, I think it would all be worth it. :D

Did I say "leather?" What I meant to say was "lead." :p

That metal detector scene from This is Spinal Tap just wouldn't be so much fun with one of these - it would be over in seconds rather than being dragged out for a minute or more! ;)
