NEW amp advice

  1. hello, just wondering what would be a good bass amp for me to get for around £100-150. at the moment im using an 80w crate amp for practice but i really do need one for gigs! any help would be great, thanks

    im not sure about your currency, but in american currency, $100-$150 will by you nothing unless you find something used and cheap. My rig is loud enough for most medium sized gigs, and I got most of it used and it cost me about $800
    You might want to consider doing what I did.
    Save some money, and in the mean time really look around out there. There is endless possibilies. I spent about 5 months until I chose the right one. I couldn't be happier. go to music stores and test drive every thing, until you've tried everything in the store! look on music sites, and talk to people who are really into playing. Its worth the time, unless you have a gig in one month that could mean do or die (i suggest a bank loan
    :rolleyes:! )
