New Amp Day...

  1. ...It's a Dean Markley 400 SB!!!

    mandocelloburrellolympics003.

Never heard of it? Neither have I, and it's exactly what you'd expect from a bass amp you've never heard of. good, solid, clean, solid state tone with a good amount of volume. 400 watts at 4 ohms.

I run almost exclusively D.I. now, and my DI is before my amp, so my on stage rig is only for the band to hear, so I don't need my big heavy rack and power amp.

Knobs are volume, high, mid, mid freq, low, and master.

crank it and it sounds terrible. not in a good way. but anything besides top end, it sounds very clear and clean, maybe a bit mid heavy, but it sounds like it will cut through well.

Got it in a trade for my rack, and the guy threw in a mint 115 peavey TVX. not bad!
