New amp! W00t

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by bassmonkey144, Jan 8, 2005.

  1. I found a old fender musicmaster at my local guitar center today, and I went on an impulse and bought it. I've been lookin for a bigger amp for a while, and I've always wanted a tube amp. So heres a picture of it. I cant tell yet if it needs new tubes or not. Any tips on that would be appreciated. DSCF0793.

I've got one of those. It's a good bass practice amp and an *excellent* guitar amp. It won't go very loud for bass, but for guitar you can crank it and get power tube distortion at reasonable levels. If it sounds good, it doesn't need new tubes - people tend to think they're always wearing out but the fact is they last for years. Preamp tubes can last a lifetime, power tubes might need to be replaced after many years and lots of use. Enjoy!
