Wow, you've got $600 for an amp and you're looking for a combo? I know that Combo's are more moveable, but if I were you, I'd go for some more power and versatility. If you go used, you can probably find a good 400 watt amp head for around $250 or $300. Then you can get a nice 4 x 10" or 2 x 12" cab and a 1 x 15" for the rest of the money. I recently bought a Peavey Mark VI bass head (400 watts) and a couple 15 inch speakers (and horns/super tweeters) which I built a home-grown cab with that has response of around 20 hz to 25,000 hz and sounds great. Those things can thump! I did the whole thing for a total of $351 after shipping and handling and I would recommend it to anybody!
