This gorgeous 6-string showed up this morning. I've been itching for some color to liven up my Roscoe section, and this fits the bill perfectly.

The Bird's Eye Maple fretboard is pretty killer, too. I'm really happy I settled on that for my personal Roscoe-to-be...

    2870.
    2870-BACK.
    2870-BODY.

  2. Must....change....diaper....

WOW. I love it! That board is insane, and with the finish on the body this thing is ridiculous! Totally my kinda' Roscoe.

  3. ...you like-a de bloo bass?

We make-a you MORE bloo bass!

    :hyper:

(10 Roscoe points* to whoever gets the reference first.)

    (*Redeemable for absolutely nothing.)

Seriously? Not Adam Sandler & Rob Schneider?

Dang! I was gonna try to apply those points towards my bass...

  7. ....sheesh....OK, I'll throw you a 5 point bone.

    :rollno:

...the CORRECT reference is "...you like-a de SAUCE?" On the gyro...but you did get the actor correct at least!

    HALF CREDIT!

    ;)

Damn, Greg. You are definitely getting some real winners in the looks department in stock!!

I gotta stay out of your forum. IIRC, you have an SKB3005 w/19mm spacing coming in the future, don't you?? THAT one could cause serious damage to my bank account................:meh:

  11. Yes, he does, it will actually be shipping sometime next week...

    :ninja:

...like how I help set the hook there, Greg?

    :hyper:

Yep, it's definitely nice to be just a couple hours away from the shop. My first trip there, I picked out a dizen or so incredible tops... and Gard has kept 'em coming since then via email...

I think I had revised that one to NOT be 19mm, but Gard told me the other day that that's how it's coming (i.e. it WILL be 19mm). Sorry, lot's of negative logic going on in that last sentence... and if I recall, it is almost done, should be here in 2-4 weeks sort of timeframe.

Yeah, I just went and checked out the spec's on that one again. Can't wait to see finished pics of it.

And yes, Gard, that was a fine job of setting the hook...............:D

Ah, great minds think alike, Gard! You just type faster :)

  15. Chose typing class over shop.

    1) Learned woodworking from dad at home, also small engine repair & maintainence.

    2) No girls in shop; no guys in typing. Simple math. :smug:

So am I hearing you say, Gard, that you wanted to be a girl in high school?

    :bag:

Oh, no, I get it - you wanted to be WITH the girls... that makes MUCH more sense...

    :D

My smartass ways are going to get me beaten someday...

  17. ...careful...I'm bigger'n you, prolly faster'n you, and I know where you work...

    ;)

...believe me, I got called several less-than-polite names when I made that choice. However, as I pointed out at the time:

    1) My dad knows more about woodworking and small engine repair than the idiot teaching shop (not to mention has a better safety record).

    2) OK, let me get this straight....you are in an unairconditioned room with 29 other GUYS, sweating; I am in an airconditoned room with 20 girls, and I'M gay? ....right...gotya...;)

  18. Good ammo for the soon-to-be-released 40 Year Old Virgin II.

Know how I know you're gay?
You've memorized the home row keys.

Oh yeah? Know how I know you're gay?
You took shop class with 29 sweaty guys....from a dude with a total of seven fingers.

And just so Gard knows I pay attention...
...I think you meant to say dozen.

I crack me up sometimes. I'm done...stop me before I italicize again. :D I love you guys.

So, mighty setter of hooks, when do we get to see some pics of this bass???:p

  20. Saw the Blue Roscoe that started this thread today - beautiful! The fingerboard is a very, very nice birdseye maple.
