new bass amp vs pa system

    ready for more sound should i go for a pa system to use with my bassman 25 or go for a new amp. what is the sound differance if any.thanks in advance

    Depends on the situation and the type of music you will be playing. I personally would rather control my own stage volume with my own amp and leave the PA to someone else.

    I would not buy a PA just for my own bass sound. Others will be going through the PA and you will still need to find a way to control your own stage sound, unless you really put alot into a high quality monitor system (as part of the PA) as monitors rarely handle bass very well.

    My vote...start with your own sound onstage first and work from there. I run through a very nice PA system, but I rely on my own amp for my stage sound.
