She wanted a "red sparkly bass."
    I think she is happy.
Do other TB's have kids with basses?
    Show em off!

Awesome! I'm 25 without kids, BUT, I was once a youngster who couldn't wait to get my hands on my dad's Guild B302. So as a previous kid who wanted a bass, I say thank you to parent's all over the world who embrace the power and love of music!

Thought I'd post a picture from 1987 when I had a similar experience

Yeah she gets to use my Gibson Thor tube amp as well!
I was in my 30's by the time I got to play through an all tube amp.
    :D

Neither of my parents play anything, so I've done it off my own back, like a lot of bassists out there, but that is a BRILLIANT picture there!

I see she's a fan of the floating thumb ;)

I was 44 when I started at bass, first instrument (well, I did mess around with classical guitar when I was 10-11). Gave my kids a "headstart". My 12 y/o girl is taking guitar lessons, 8 y/o girl piano, 7 y/o crazy little man is a drummer. We have the makings of our own little band here!

Your kid's face is worth a million bucks! Enjoy!

Yeah she seems to be trying that the most.
I have not said "no pick" but she seems to emulate pops:bassist:

My "kid" is 36 now. I "loaned" him my Schecter P bass when he was in the 8th or 9th grade so he could play a school talent show with his band of neighborhood buddies. That was something like 20 years ago and he still has the bass! I've tried to reclaim it a few times but without success. Eventually I gave up and just bought another bass :)
Come to think of of...that kid has my old Gibson B25 acoustic too. DOH!

Looks like she's into Wooten 'hand-below-strings' type of slap

that'd be a risky move in my household hahahahaha
