Got this today from a fellow TBer(thanks Joel). Squier Pro Tone series Precision. The story has been told on these many times. Introduced in 1995, discontinued in 1998, as they were cutting into U.S. sales. These were made in the Samick factory in Korea. And we all know that by the mid '90s the Korean made instruments were right up to par with the American made stuff. This baby is no exception. Rock solid build, top craftsmanship, and all the feel and tone you would expect a P Special to have. P-body, J-neck, and the classic P/J pickup configuration-I love this bass! If you're a Fender player and you ever get to check one of these out, you just may end up buying it.

Nice. I'm a big fan of P/J's. I don't have one yet though. Congrats.

I used to have this exact bass, down to the color scheme, about 12 years ago. Great instrument for the money.

OK, perhaps I was over-ambitious here. But the quality on this bass is truly amazing. Thanks for your input.

No prob, bud - I totally understand... I've owned a couple of MIK Squiers, and agree that their quality was quite good...
