I had been wanting and shopping around for a new (and better) bass for a while, as well as saving up for one. I fell in love with the MM SR5, but not with the price tag. I originally intended to find a used SR5, but after reading numerous reviews and listening to sound clips, I decided to get this:

    2012-01-25142502.
    2012-01-25142631.
    2012-01-25142641.
    2012-01-25145253.

Here are a few sound clips.

I am really digging this bass. The fret work is pretty good (no rough edges sticking out), the finish is really nice, and I like the weight. I had to give it a quick set-up out of the box, but other than that, it's awesome!

The B string feels pretty good! It's not floppy at all and sounds really good.

Congratulations brother. Like someone above said, there's nothing like a brand new bass.

It looks like a real solid banger. Enjoy it in good health. :bassist:

Today I had my first practice session with the new bass and my band. The band leader has an Ampeg SVT-CL and an SVT 8x10 at our practice space (his house). I normally have to play with the eq settings on my bass and the amp to get a tone that I like. Today, I decided to set everything flat on both the amp and the bass, and set the midrange control at "3". I was very very pleased with what I heard, and the way it sounded in the mix really made me happy. This one is definitely a keeper.
