New Bass Day

    It didn't start that way. It ended up with Valenti # 032 coming home with me.... as the door prize at the 2009 International GTG. I am soooo stoked. Bringing it along to my clubdate tonight. Did I mention I am soooo stoked? Sorry.

    $60 for the food and the raffle: the hang was free, they charged for the beer.

    Gigged that sucker last night. Still needs some minor tweaks but its quite a bass. Considering its a Tele style, its got a lot of mids and highs. But it also has a very usable tone control to get vintage-y real quickly. It even slaps and pops.

    That's awesome that you won that bass at the GTG. I wonder if we can get Pete Skjold to give away a bass at the next Ohio GTG.

    What a great story and what a sweet bass - CONGRATULATIONS! That's a pretty rare shade of green for a bass, or is it just the pic? It really looks cool, I think.
    I won a bottle of shampoo and a sportsbag as a doorprize once . not quite the same...

    And seeing there was only about 15 people there, the chances of me getting it is huge!

    And I plan to attend the International GTG next year, so maybe Ill be getting a Valenti! :bassist:
