New bass decision...

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by bass_tool, Feb 7, 2002.

  1. After some research i've cut it down to two basses to choose from. its going to be my second bass, a fretless.

either a fretless MIM jazz 4
or an MTD kingston 5 fretless

both in the same price range..

theres a problem, i cant get the chance to play either of them, im basing my decision off reviews ive read on the internet. no stores around here carry either of these basses in stock so ill have to order them in once i choose which one.

or does anyone know a better fretless in this price range, or less?

im planning on smacking some flats on it and it will be used mostly for jazz, im looking for nearly a double bass sound.

yeah that cort artisan is a TIGHT package

    bartolini electronics
    wenge neck
    two piece bridge
    swamp ash body

should make for a GREAT fretless

(i kinda have one on order right now, but shh don't tell anyone ;) )

  5. The local guitar shop actually has an artisian 5 fretless in stock, ill give it a play next time im down there. ive had a fiddle with it unplugged but ill give it a full rundown soon.

    thanks for the suggestions.
