Found it a good home and we are both more then happy.
I’d keep it. More mojo than anything you’ll trade it for
Good for you!
Before I take it over to Guitar center. Does putting the shimmy bring the value down? I want to make sure.
I'll give you $25 for that bass and that's the best I can do.
PS. That bass is awesome. Congrats!
What are you planning to do with it at guitar center?
(And no a shim doesn't bring value down)
That's sweet, I'd hang on to it. He may wanna update some day about how you two are getting along. Then you'll be doing some serious tap dancing to answer. It took me 6 months to find a sweet P, one just fell in your lap. Love the maple fretboard.
That’s the original case as well. I’d recommend selling it but i don’t like supporting GC. Great score for sure. I had A white one with A added Jazz pickup, severely devalued it and it was pretty beat, it sold for $1299 on reverb. Just to get A sense of value for you.
Sell it or trade it. Its to heavy for me almost 10 pounds
Dude! Who's your dentist?!
A guy i never met. Just this one time i had my toot pulled. Nice man for sure. And he really didnt care what i did with it. He just didnt want it no more.
They'll give you half of what you could get if you sold it yourself. Granted it's still all profit for you, but you might as well put it on Craigslist at least for a little while.
Why does it have 3 knobs though? Is there an active circut? Is each half of the pickupwired separately?
It takes a battery
It's a Precision Special, so it's active. Here's a link Fender Precision Special Bass 1980 - 1982 . Nice bass! Love the matching head stock, but with a maple board. That's rare in the world of Fender!
This! GC will rob you on it. I would take to a good luthier and have it professionally set up and then sell it yourself. You will do a lot better. Good find, by the way.
Yes, rare and awesome!
Dream bass/color combo for me. Nice score! Maybe trade it for something lighteli
Ah-ha! I somehow missed the "Special". Very cool. A Precision Elite was one of my dream basses and I guess this was the predecessor.
Id be interested in trading some greenbacks for that
Indeed it was. Much easier to find parts for the Special than the Elite that came after it, though.
