It's here!! A Spector NS5CR in black with gold Schaller straplocks! Man, it is sweet. I'm glad I got the 34" scale neck; 5 strings is enough of a change to get used to for now. I'll post pics soon.

Phew, I won't have GAS for at least a week!

Congrats on your new bass - I got mine from my wife for my 30th (although I'd been dropping hints for about 5 years)!!! Mine is the Blueburst and I have been a big fan of Spector ever since!!!! I'm actually working on another Spector as we speak!! I really enjoy the nice B string not floppy at all (you mentioned it's a 34" scale - I thought it was a 35" to stop the 'B' being floppy)

    Anyway - enjoy!!!

I have the same bass!!!!!! Great bass, IMO best bass in it's price range. Better than most basses 2x the price. :)

Why am I not surprised that you have the same, exact bass?;) :p

What kind of strings do you use on it?

I use whatever strings I can find. On this particular bass, I had a set of Ernie ball strings (4 string set) laying around & I bought a Ken smith "B".

Latley I've been using Sadowsky strings w/the tapered B & I really like those strings (on both my Sadowsky's & Warmoth 5)

I'm waiting on my musicman sterling, should be in by next week!!!
