It's awesome. The neck is great, the action is incredible. I just gotta bring it to rehearsal on teusday & give it a real test. I think it's a mid 80's 4003. It has nice aging to it. It used tyo be white & it faded nicley to a cream!!!!

  2. Congrats Nino

My first bass was a 4003 fretless (before anyone put lines on a fretless).

    Enjoy

I really didn't need a new bass, but I couldn't pass it up!!!!! I got it for $550 w/OHSC. My wife think I traded a bass for it, but the less she know, the better. LOL!!!

Actually my second bass was a Natural 4003. That was pretty sweet. I had a red one that I wish I never traded away!!!!! :(

  7. wow. that is a truly awesome instrument, congrats.

  8. nice RIC nino, welcome to the club.

if it doesn't have a new set of strings go out and buy some. then put it on a stand, plug it into your amp, pluck the E string, go make yourself some spagetti and ketchup, and dont worry about a thing becuase the string will still be ringing when you are done.

great buy. it may sound a little diferent than the spectors with the EMGs but you will love it.

as far as age goes goto RICs webpage they have a place were you can check the model and age.

you just need the numbers on the jack.

    have fun. :D

Oh I'm very familiar w/Ric's This is the 7th one I've owned. The one I really liked but regretably sold was an 86 burgandy 4003. My second bass ever was a natural 4003 & I had 2 blacks alla Geddy, a fire glow that wasen't a Ric @ all, and another white one that I built. (I got the body & got a whole bunch of weird patrs for it.)

None of the others compared to the burgandy one. I traded the burg. for a 76 p bass. The P was AWESOME but the burg. was better.

Actually, my livivng room floor. ;)
