Hey, I know you are probably sick of people asking this, but I really would appreciate any advice you can give me.

Well it's income tax time and I'm looking for a new bass. About 6 months ago I bought a Silvertone Starter Package. The bass is okay, it's very heavy. I've been to a few local stores and so far the best sounding basses are a Curbow4, and an Epiphone Gothic Thunderbird. I've heard the neckdive is terrible on the latter. Unfortunatly I didnt use a strap when trying it. I'll have about $500-$575 to spend. If anyone has any other suggestions I would really appreciate them.

    Thanks in advance.

For basses around that price range, I would go for Fender or Ibanez. You can also get a better bass if you buy used. You may be able to get a Warwick Corvette standard used for around that amount, or or even one of the low end MTDs. You really just need to play alot of basses and figure out what you like. Look around alot, and don't rush yourself.:bassist:
