Okay! I've FINALLY made up my mind for my new bass.
I plan on special ordering a MM Stingray 4 fretless w/piezo option. Birdseye maple neck w/pau ferro fingerboard(standard on fretless) and no fret lines(side dots PLEASE!). Black sparkle w/black pickguard, and the standard chrome hardware. I'm not sold on the matching headstock for this finnish.
    So, What do y'all think???

Not bad at all. I'd go with the matching headstock. I've seen the black/black/black motif before, looks much better IMHO tha the maple headstock...course, you might wanna not have it painted to show off the birdseye maple, but, hey, whatever floats your boat.

    Hey TAS,
Great choice on a bass. My fretless piezo SR 4 is my #1 bass. Unlined pau ferro, trans gold with matching headstock and a black pearloid guard. The original black guard is signed by Vic Wooten, so it is hanging on the wall. I run Lakland flats. You will enjoy some of the subtle changes you can make with the piezo. Keep an eye out for used Stingrays. Even though the piezos are a little harder to find, you can save several hundred dollars on a used mint SR. Give us a yell when you get yours.

You'll be waiting for a while, unless you can hunt one down.

Sounds nice, I'm not too fond of piezos, but on fretlesses, they sound nice. :)

Congrats, and welcome to the MM club. :)
