Hey Guybrush - welcome to TalkBass.

I have never seen/played an XB 100, but if it's in your price range, plays OK and sounds OK (Looks OK too) then go for it. I'm sure it'll be fine to learn on. I have a Washburn XS-5 - about 8 years old. I have basses that sound and look better now, but I can't part with it, although I haven't played it in a while!!

  6. Welcome to Talkbass! I started on an XB100, and it's not a bad bass for the price. It should keep you going for a while.

  7. I've played a Washburn XB100, I actually liked that bass, although I don't like some of washburn's stuff, Great low-end, good starter....
