What do you people think of my (possible) new body style the "R-Bass" ?
Not bad at all, I like it!
Simple and elegant. I especially like the slight points on each horn. What type of pups do you intend to put in it?
Might have to change the name.
I'd hit it.
For the first one, I'm planning on going with Aero dual coils.
i think it looks great
Now you really have me intrigued. Please post pics as you move on this project - I'd love to watch!
Do you know what wood(s) you'll choose?
Looking forward to pics!!!
The horns look a little Gumby to me, especially the top one.
I think you're just begging for confusion otherwise.
The design looks good though.
Kind of a "Buzz" meets a "4001".
How about "Buzzenbacher"?
You are probably right on that one, I'll have to give the name some more thought.
I haven't picked them out yet, I might go through and pick some woods out tomorrow.
Awsome design Cliff.
You make some really cool looking stuff. I hope i can get my hands on one of your basses someday.
OK, here is the MDF template for a five string.
I adjusted the top horn a little, the first plywood template I made showed that the two previous horns really didn't go together . I think this looks better, What do you think?
I'm going to be picking out the body woods later, I'm leaning towards a Spanish Cedar for the core.
Looks good - Has a nice roundish balanced feeling to it
R-bass= reasonbass lol....cool body shape, its nice to see someone from florida making basses.
I've been to your website a couple times -- really like what I'm seeing.
The new body has shades of James Basses and Yancey basses. Take a look at their body styles. It'll be kind of a deja vu thing.
Keep creating. Your bassplaying public supports you 100%!
I reckon you should add just a little tiny cut out somewhere to fit in with all the Biggest names
looks nice with my koa!
you tryin' to trick me Cliff?
