New Bow, New Feel

  1. Hi, I've been using my bow for a few years now and realized I'm pretty used to it. I can pull any sound I want from it for the most part. However, now that I'm looking for a new bow I find I'm just looking for my bow all over again, but I know I want something that is different from my bow, I just don't know what I want exactly because I'm so used to the one I have now. Any thoughts.

Don't just try a bow out and buy it on the spot, if you are in a shop and there is a bow that feels pretty good to you, take it out on a trial. Any decent shops will let you try bows out for a week or two which will give you a much better feel for the bow. If there aren't any decent shops near you, most places will also ship you several bows that you are interrested for a week or two and you can take your pick or send them all back. I went through many of these trials looking for my bow, and it is a great feeling when you find exactly what your looking for. Good luck!

So why you want to change bow then?
My experience is that it is very hard to find the right bow. It takes a lot of time and frustration too. It takes your mind of practicing. But it is all part of the learning process.
