New bridge pup for an Epiphone EB3

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by parrott, Jan 8, 2003.

  1. Well, I've decided that I really don't like the bridge pickup that in there - it's the stock one, it sounds pretty horrible and uncontrollable, it's got really low output and I've tried adjusting it in every way I can think of.

So I'm gonna replace it, but I don't have a clue where to start looking for a replacement.:(

I'm looking for something that gives me quite a refined sound with a middle-ish emphasis, but still powerful bass and clear treble. I also want it to be quite thick and creamy, and at least hum-cancelling. I think it'll be some kind of humbucker that I want, I prefer the fuller sounds of humbucking pups.
And I want it to be passive, if possible.

    Can anyone help me, please?
