My six is almost done (probably a couple of weeks at the most), just got some pics from Kevin... {} {} When I first looked at this next pic I saw an old man (no, not a reflection )... anyone else see it? {} Too bad there has to be a bridge covering that up.
Me too. This one is all Maple. Decided to go that way after playing the doubleneck double six (six string bass and guitar).
Bart quadcoils into an Audere preamp. Pretty basic setup; standard (Brubaker) coil taps, Z mode switch, two mids, bass and treble. The blue/green burst NBS 5 I put up is a growl machine. Hopeful the new six will continue in that vein and maybe improve upon it.
IRL it gets kind of purple around the edges. Trippy looking bass to be as simple as it is. My first Bru and still one of my favorites.
Looks great Brad! Love the specs. I immediately saw the old man diagonally down/right from the bridge pickup. Is that what you mean? Kinda creepy but very cool. Marshall
I saw it instantly as well, that thing is possessed... Doesnt look like a old man more of someome screaming while there melting LOL
Here is a rare photo of Kevin with his evil twin Evan Brubaker. Note the way Evan mocks him by dressing similarly. I'm not even sure which is which. BTW, That set of matching basses/guitars was an order I took for a guy whose twin sons were graduating high school. Nice gift, eh? {} I sold this one originally, bought it back and resold it. I miss it still. {} {}
Hey Brad, Here's a photo of your bass on my bed (!) back when I took them home to East Berlin, PA to take photos. Did you buy that from me? {}
and your new one looks brutal. I wish I could afford one of those. I recently bought myself a KBP that I love. {}
Now I remember. Cool. It looks nice. Plus I also immediately saw the old guy in 3/4 profile. Looks like he's screaming to me, like your bass will.
I see the Old Man in the wood. It looks like one of those wood spirit carvings. Very cool!! Nice bass too
