So, I recently acquired a new TH500 and am looking for some opinions on several different cabs. One, which I know has received great reviews especially with the Aggy is the Baer ML-112, but I am also considering the following:

    Orange OBC115
    TC RS 2x10
    TC RS 2x12
    GS 2x12

There is only so much that I can gleen from YouTube vids so I was wondering what type of practical experience anyone might have with any of these pairings. I would be mostly be playing smaller gigs, mostly studio stuff, but also some small coffee house type gigs. Musically something in the vein of Snarky Puppy meets Wilco... Somewhat soul/funk/acoustic blend of music...

    Cheers!

  2. I’d probably lean towards a pair of the OBC115s but I have no experience playing with any of the cabinets on your list so I’d have play through all of them to know which one like preferred - and then what I might like best may not be what you’d prefer best so you need to play through all of these cabs for yourself to really know which one you like best.

    Cheers

That said, none of the cabs on your list would be in my list of cabs to consider with any head. What has you narrowing your list down to these items? Are you set on new gear or are you considering used? What is your budget?

From what I have researched these have made the "short list" of what I was looking for. Decent low-end punch with smooth highs - rather than those that can get a bit too harsh. Ideally I'm looking to not spend more than 700.00. I would like the cab to operate as a stand alone for my current needs.

Thanks for the responses so far...

  5. I would look at a Greenboy Bassic with the Faitals.

The choices are a bit unfair. Neither a 115 nor a 210 will handle as much, or get as loud as a 212. I'd re-think the choices.
