I just bought this 70's ampeg 8x10 from my drummer. He's had it for a few years and it's been "mine" for a little while, but I finally paid for it, so I decided to start using it more often. The guy he bought it from had owned it for years, and had it stored for a while unplayed, so it's in pretty good shape. The jack has been converted to a 1/4" with a little metal plate, but it still has the "Ampeg SVT" badge with a serial number on the back, and all the speakers looked original when we took it apart. It has all the handles in the right places, and the mounts on the bottom for the dolly, but didn't come with one. Instead, there are four heavy duty wheels screwed into the side. Mostly, this was just a post so I could brag about my new cab, but also it struck me as odd is that the ampeg badge is on the right side instead of the left. I had thought they always mounted these things on the left side but there doesn't apear to be screw holes in the grill cloth. Was this something they did when they sold the cabs in pairs? Sorry about the crappy cell phone pic, but I didn't bring my camera.
