New Carvin SB4000 Video

Cool video. Bass sounds great.

I dig it!

 

IMO that bass is butt ugly, but the tone and playing were killer!

 

One of my all time biggest GAS basses.. but two things I noticed were:
1. Sekou got out of time a few times on his own songs.. phew!
2. His pickup cover seems to get in the way more than anything, though I love the look of it.

And did anyone else think it looked like Carvins version of the MM Jazz bass?

 

In that config, yeah, ash + black + active = MM Jazz, IMO, but being a Carvin, it can be anything you want it to be!

 

And I will have one one day.. But as of now, Im too busy GASing for the VB Sig..

 

It'd make agreat 2nd option, if that dosen't pan out.


Me I want a 5er one, but they have huge necks, 3" at the last fret.

Yeah, as of yet though, it has to be ordered over the phone.

22 frets, active pre comes standard, rather than an upcharge.

 

Definitely going to pick one of these up. Been in the jazz bass market for a bit now and that bass seems to nail the sound/price point I've been looking for.

 

Im yet to see one though. The magazne I got from them didnt have any 5ers, and every video and picture I see is a 4 banger..

I know theyre out there though.
