how tough would it be to take the insides of a dano mini pedal and put them into a better (bigger/sturdier) casing? some of those pedals sound nice but i always feel like im gonna smash the whole thing just to turn it on. thanks....

Not TOO hard, depending on the internals of the pedal. Worst case scenario, contact the guys at www.jeverman.com or www.analogman.com and they can do it for a nominal fee.

You could send it off to Colin at Experimentalists Anonymous.

I've a Danelectro PB&J delay pedal thats getting rehoused by him, along with a slew of other goodies:
Expression pedal control of any knob
A super long (10+ seconds!) lo fi oscillating delay mode
    An effects loop
Switchable bypass to allow delay repeats to trail after turning the pedal off

Getting just the rehouse is fairly inexpensive, give him an email, and let him know what you want. He's a great guy.

How much does all of that cost?
