It is a mic on the bass and DI from the amp, the mix is mostly the bass mic. It is a Barcus Berry clamp through the house amp (something I will not do again until I get a pre-amp).

This album did very well. It made it onto several year end lists and is up for album of the year here. However, most of us here will be duty-bound to vote for the William Parker / Scodanibbio duo, as I did.
