New color for MIM Fenders.

    It seems that Fender has a new color in their MIM line. I called my friend @ Sam Ash & that particular bass/color isn't in their computer yet. I've been looking for a Lake Placid Blue MIM Jazz for a while. Has amyone seen the new color? If this is nice, I'm gonna pick it up.

    The main bass page has pics of both a P and a J in the new color.

    On the computer it looks like a realy nice colour.. but i guess in person it may change.. but.. *drool* thats a nice colour.. hehe:D

    thats the same color as my redken rewind hair gel. :D

    Its actually a lighter color than the color chip is. The pic at www.fender.com is more accurate.

    :rolleyes: I didn't ask if it was a biggy, I asked if anyone has seen the color.

    I thought the same thing but those basses look like the American Series Basses & not the Mexican Standards. I like that color, also.

    *shudder* Ugh, the color chip got me all excited, because that is a great color for a bass, the old midnight blue... Ah yes.. those basses on the Fender page are U G L Y, IMNHO (In my never humble opinion).... Hey, its your bass make it whatever color you want it, I just wish it was much closer to the color chip :(

    I like the color, and have thoght about getting another P and modifying it. Sounds like fun!

    That's a pretty neat color, Nino. I'm guessing that the pickguard is white. (?)

    Not to sidetrack the thread, but while we're on the subject of MIM colors, can someone tell me what color my MIM Jazz is? I'm guessing it's what Fender calls "Midnight Wine" but the color on the Fender page looks more like black to me.

    Yes, it has the white p/g. All the MIM Std's have a white p/g.

    That looks like a Midnight Wine to me. I had a MIM P-bass in that color. I like it.

    P.S. I just got my new Sam's Ass cataloge & I noticed the price of the MIM J's. It;s $384.99. I looked @ an older cataloge I had & the price was $319.99. A $65 jump?!?!?:eek: :( I think I have to look for a used one, whatever the color!!!!
