I was playing on a gt7 today, and was already in the market for a new bass (basses?)... I really enjoyed it, and thought that I was getting used to the neck pretty quickly... I would probably play it some more with the thought of picking one up somewhere down the road.

..a little OT, but, I'm wanting to mod out a GT7 like so.

Instead of say, BEADGCB(Or whatever that high string is) or F#BEADGC...

Re-file the nit, and re-tring it so it'd be tuned BEABEAD, with the following string gauges: .130 .110 .85 .130 .105 .85 .65 .45 Then, I coul dshift between my open A tuning, and my drop C tuning without switching basses! (It'd be tuned ADGCGCF)...I think that'd be a trip! Not to mention impracticle, but hey it's nice to dream about, eh? Better than paying for a five and a four, or two fours, right?

    Crazy ol' me...:D

EEEeeee sounds like it just saw a mouse...
I'd think I'd prefer a classic Fonzarelli AAAaaaa.

That's cool. I havn't quite gotten to that point yet, myself. I like 5... But more than 5 are distracting to me. (not to mention I don't have any tunes needing that yet!) The tone on the GT line of basses seemed kind of mellow to me. I think I would like a GT 5 at some point. :)

Hope you like it.. 6ers don't make sense.. a GT-7 is a cool bass.
