    Hey dudes,

I just got back from tour to find a lovely package from Dingwall, containing my new custom Afterburner 6-string. It has the triple pickup "ABXXX" layout, alder body with a wenge neck. Strung with Circle K Strings .175 set, from a high G to a low F#. Haven't been able to plug it in just yet but acoustically it sounds amazing, the setup is spot on, and that low F# rings out incredibly well unplugged so everything bodes well for us to be onto a winner :)

Low F# blows my mind. That would take some getting used to!

That headstock is gorgeous! I sure hope you can put up some sound samples, I'd love to hear how that F# sounds. I really like the super vibrant body color too.

That is a beautiful bass, sir. Congrats on touring with the Deftones.
  8. Wow!!! Not too many players have the balls to shell out the cash for such a brightly-colored bass. Good for you. I personally love it!!! It's beautiful.

I would usually say no to a yellow bass, but this one is a thing of beauty. It must sound as good as it looks, or even better.

    That is spectacular!!!

Do the three pickups really sound all that different? Just wondering since they are so close together...

Love the contrast of that blazing yellow against the chocolatey wenge.

    Fantastic bass.
  13. Another beautiful instrument from Dingwall!
I've never been a yellow guy, but it really works with this bass.
Only thing is that I seriously doubt you'll be using that low F# for anything more than fooling around. Haha.
  14. Whoa!!

Can we have clips? That's a killer bass, man.

  15. Who does this "NollyPeriphery" even think he is? Low F#? He's probably just trying to sound like some band signed to Sumerian and being a front-runner of the djent scene.

Haha, he is the bass player for Periphery!

They play with 7 and 8 strings guitars. Tuning drop Ab on the 7 strings and standard F# on the 8 strings.

I really wonder how that F#-string on that dingwall sounds!
Many bassplayers are complaining about their floppy b-string.
That huge F#-string most be taking that cake for sure.
The Dingwalls do have a 37"scale on the b-string.
I wonder how long the F# is. Most be a really long neck to play on!

Could you tell us, Nolly? ;)
