Two things that get me...the tuner arrangement is neat, but the resulting arrangement of strings just looks...awkward. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the ramp/pickup cover combo, but what ever floats your boat. That being said, the top is amazing!

EDIT: Does it have volume or tone controls, or is it just the pickup switch?

Thanks, I know the tuner arrangement look's kinda funny, but however it really works on the B-string!.. It's a 32" scale and the B is HUGE! :D

    Thanks Marshall,

Yes, the key-word on this baby was: simplicity. Or the Jaco quote: "The tone is in your hands"... :smug:

    me too!

Hey by any chance do you have a pic of that last Morch you bought? I think that it was 6'er scroll-type... Sorry to derail the thread, it's just rare that I see Morch basses around these days, other than on TB.

It looks great, I'm sure it plays and sounds incredible...

...but it's a damn good thing that you can't sue for copying a bass design, because if you could, Joey & Vinnie would be calling their lawyer about now...

    thanks!

I played one of his basses (used) around 98-99 at Cambridge Music in Boston, it was a 4 string bass that looked like an Abe Rivera bass. Actually that is why I pulled it off of the wall in the first place.

Cool suprise. Haven't played one in person since, just seen yours on here.
