Found this on the 'bay and could not believe it. Looks a little to much like a thumb bass. What do you guy's think?

    Nice link.

  3. Yes it does, but then again, Warwick copied one of their most successful designs from Spector, so it's karma, I guess. :ninja:

Actually the Dean's body style reminds me of JP basses more than a Warwick.

  5. Yes, that is indeed a Dean.

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
Wouldn;t mind trying one of those. I like the string spacing...

Woodchuck has one, and says it's quite nice.

  9. I'd like to try one of those out, probably in a 4 string.

Yah, I saw that awhile back- looks better than most warwicks IMO, and it doesn't have that nasty MEC singlecoil!

They are really cool! Great playing (and sounding) bass for not a whole lot. IMHO.

That would make it the "thumphin"...wouldn't it?

  14. I've actually played one of them. They sound really nice, kind of like a stringray, only warmer, and they're pretty comfortable to play.

It's actually not a copy of a Thumb. It made me think of a Thumb when I first saw one too, though. I can't remember the name of the company, but I came across a custom builder whose bass was EXACTLY the same body style as that Dean. The Dean and Thumb are close, but this one was exact.

Like a Thumb and a Dolphin had a baby.

Like Washburn with their Jerzy Drozd copy.
