new design :) your thoughts??

made a quick pencil sketch of what i was thinking for build #2. i am liking it what do you think? open to ALL opinions, suggestions, comments, critism, ect.

 

some things will probably change, but for now, here are the specs on the design:
- strings: 4
- fretting: fretless with full fretlines on harmonic frets 5, 7, 12, and 24, and partial lines on all other frets (not sure exactly how i want to lay those out. thinking on it) the fb cuts off on the treble side for slap purposes, plus sweet looks
- neck through
- single cut hollowed/chambered
- custum "f" holes. really digging these
- tuner style: clover
- pup config.: jazz

Woods and hardware:
- fingerboard: bloodwood w/ maple or beech lines
- neck body center: really sappy walnut and bloodwood
- body wood: ash and walnut strips
- top: spalted maple with bloodwood binding on the holes
- accent line: bloodwood
- bridge: thinking a fender style heavy Gotoh
- pups: basslines QP jazz

all in all i am really digging the shape of the headstock, the body, the fb end, the holes, and the look all around. please let me know if it looks way to simalar to someone elses work, so i can mod it/ get permision. hate just stealing others creativty.

lol i did this on my breaks at burger king, so there is minor grease smuges. tried to clean it up as much as my crappy computer would let me. i was going for something diffenent with the holes. if you bring the neck-side set together, it is like a yin-yang sign, and on the bridge set, it is the same, only the halves face from each other. all of the people i have showed it to, say that the holes are the best part. thanx for input.

thanx for all the input man, really appreciate it. i am not dependant on slap, because i suck at it, but it i am working on it. to be honest i mainly play punk music, witch is pick territory, but i thought it would be sweet to have at least 1 frettless. just curious, what benifets would there be with the fb having the extension on the treble side?
i am not that experienced either, as this one will only be my second build. i imagine the spalted maple would glue just like any other woods. the rotting that occurs in it, happend when the tree is alive, and it gets sick. should sound klike any other maple unless i am missing something. as far as the pups go: yeah, i am still thinking on this, if i want a classic fretless tone, or something a little more punchy. still thinking on it.
the holes: i will make another sketch to see if they look better like that. jensby design gave mne an idea that i am thinking over. instead of having the holes be completely cut out, cut them out, and before i glue the top on, glue a piece of blood wood under the top where the f-holes are cut out, so that the holes are covered on the inside with bloodwood.
