I talked to Sheldon today. He's doing the final assembly on my new Afterburner II 4 string. He said that the mahogany that he used is the most resonant and light mahogany that he has ever used. I'm am so jazzed. The specs are bubinga top and neck, mahogany body, and pau ferro fingerboard. I'll post pics when I get it.

Yes, they are amazing. The fanned fret system is really easy to play.

I'm not sure how you can wait for another week, but its gotta be exciting.
Sheldon makes basses that play like the dickens and sounds amazing. The fanned frets are no problem and pose only a visual distraction

A 4 string Afterburner II, I gotta see that one.

Alas, I have to wait another month. i have a one-off Dingwall coming end of next month, way too long of a wait. :(
PS make sure you post some pictures

Frank, thanks for your post. I think Sheldon's work is about as good as it gets right now. The fanned frets really are easy. The tone an playability are amazing. I can't wait. I will post pics as soon as it arrives.
