    Hey,

€ is quite like $. The price is without shipping and the 2 month delay too.

Here are more informaton but I don't have any pics for the moment.

Hand carved maple scroll, and matching back and rib.
    Hand carved spruce top
    20mm thickness bags.
Improved dark rosewood bow(can be choosed from French style or Germany style).

If you want I want some pics of a cello, I sell for 750$. If you want to have an idea of the quality of the product.
The double bass is not flamed 1700$ but I believe I will soon have a flamed one to sell.

    Regards,

  8. Let's see if I have this right.

You have a bass to sell, but...

    (1) No Photos
    (2) We think you are in France, but no city is given to calculate shipping even if we knew the weight and size.
    (3) Do you crate if for shipment or is that extra?
    (4) Who mades the instrument and the country of origin.
    (5) String length, body length, width of top (at upper and lower bouts), etc.
    (6) What are the fingerboard and tailpiece are made from (Ebony? Rosewood?, stained maple?)
    (7) Varnish? Oil or Spirit or something else?
    (8) Color?
    (9) Purfling? Inlaid or painted?

And... If we were willing to buy the bass sight unseen, we would have to wait 2 month before it could even be shipped?

Well, I'm going to answer theses questions. I'm sorry I didn't more details first, but I am here to answer your question. I am not a professional seller.

    1) right, but I will have some soon. Of course it is better to wait and to see it first.
    2) Yes, I am in France, I could send it from paris or nancy (east of france)
    3) humm? shipping is paid by the buyer. So it is added to 1700$. Don't worry about the shipping, it is very well packed. And bridge is not mounted.
First I put this advert to sell it to europe. I don't know if the price is good to US.
    4) It comes from china
    5) argh! I loose a lot of information when I translate my ad. It is a 3/4 DB
    6) fingerboard is ebony, I don't know for the tailpiece
    7) humm. I will send a pic soon
    8) color of maple.. cf. pic soon
    9) inlaid ebonised fit

Yes, for the moment, I have to wait 2 month to get the double bass. I hope there is no hurry

    Regards,

This 1700 Euro Doublebass looks like a Palatino/Cremona type knock-off. Is there any kind of label?
