Hey! My EDA905 just read these comments, and she's very upset! Is that a switch next to the ONE control I see? Could this be Ibanez' answer to the Jack Casady? Ibanez is taking over the bass world one player at a time. Mike
I couldnt agree more, even though the first bass I REALLY liked was a GSR200 (I may have to buy one one of these days)
I know most of you guys are heading to the cash machine right now to get some greenbacks to buy one of these little beauties, so I figured I'd post a little info about 'em I found at the Ibanez site. http://www.ibanez.com/namm/03s_namm.asp See how Mikey-boy takes care of his friends? MU-HA-HA-HA-HA! Have a good weekend, everyone. I expect a review Monday morning. Mike
I dig it... Switch out that pup with a decent soap bar, new tuners, new bridge, that thing would probably be killer.
yah uh...ok..... I kinda like the design though...and there's nothin wrong with single pickups...but a 3 way switch rather than a pot for tone control? come on....many pots have a thing that kinda sticks at the halfway point...that, full on and full off. but no, that's too hard for beginners. It would be much better if there were no controls at all, just a jack.
I'd rather buy a better bass. I do like Killdar's idea of no knobs though. Just an on/off switch would be cool.
It prob won't be too bad of a bass, at least its got an Alder body. The 3 switches are probobly coil tapped, Top, Both, and Bottom coil. There kinda is a bass with not much more than an on off... the Mark Hoppus all it has is a volume knob.
